   This isn't the best Grand Funk release,but it is very good. The title track "Shinin'On" is one of their all time best songs. The vocals on it are excellent! There are a lot of great vocals on this release,by both Brewer and Farner. Good song writing though out. "Little Johnny Hooker" is another stand out number/5(75).

   After racking up their biggest success to date with We're an American Band, Grand Funk Railroad decided to keep a good thing going by retaining Todd Rundgren as their producer and continuing to push their sound in a pop/rock direction. The end result has its moments but is not as strong as We're an American dispareaceptike.gingbackcomasmopawoodweitrininensa.cogh the songs are tight and benefit from a strong performance by the group.
